In a special senate election, Doug Jones defeated Republican Roy Moore, who is fighting sexual misconduct allegations.The crew discusses politics and morality in light of a recent article written by an evangelical commentator who claims Christian black women saved evangelicalism by overwhelmingly voting for Mr. Jones guaranteeing his victory.Should we trade, so far unproven sexual allegations for straightforward immorality, pat ourselves on the back, and celebrate the outcome? 0:47.7	My name's Carl Truman. I'm pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Ambler, Pennsylvania.

0:56.3	the housewife theologian, and Todd Pruitt, pastor of a very large PCA mega church in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
1:04.7	Today we want to talk about a topic that's proved somewhat contentious over the last couple of
1:09.2	months, and that is the rather acrimonious
1:12.6	discussions that have surrounded the equally acrimonious election of a senator to fill the
1:20.6	position vacated by Jeff Sessions' appointment as Attorney General by President Donald Trump.
1:27.5	For those listening abroad, essentially what went on is that there was a somewhat radical Republican
1:34.9	figure, Judge Roy Moore.
1:37.5	He ran for the Republican Party, the GOP, initially opposed by the GOP establishment,
1:43.6	and then latterly supported by them,
1:46.2	ran against a Democrat, Doug Jones.
1:49.9	The race was made more contentious by the fact that a series of allegations,
1:55.9	none of which I should say have yet been proven as far as I know in any court of law.
2:00.9	A series of allegations emerged against Doug Jones that he had dated very young, underage
2:08.2	girls some time ago.
2:11.2	And this led to something of a division among Christians as to whether Christians could support a man with these kind of
2:21.6	allegations against him. Todd, Amy, any thoughts on this?
2:26.9	It was a really interesting case because it comes at a time when all of these revelations
