Morgan City, Louisiana, July 7th, 1927.

The body of James J. Labuff, superintendent of Louisiana Public Utilities Company, who had been mutilated,

shot and gagged, was found weighted down in irons in a lake near here today. There were two

buckshot wounds in the left side and powder burns on the flesh. There was also a long
