In this episode, travel on a cinematic odyssey exploring the creative and musical journey

of David Bowie in director Brett Morgan's documentary, Moonage Daydream.

Screened as part of the DGA's documentary series, Moon Age Daydream is the first documentary ever

sanctioned by the Bowie Estate with access to the artist's archives and features never-before-seen

footage and performances spanning Bowie's half-century career. In addition to Moon Age Daydream,

Morgan's directorial filmography includes the documentary features,

Ollie's Army, Chicago 10, and Cobain montage of heck, and episodes of the documentary series,

Say It Loud, a celebration of black music in America.

He and co-director Nanette Burstein were the winners of the 1999 DGA Award

for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary for their film On the Ropes. Following the

documentary series screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Morgan spoke with

director Andi Timoner about filming
