Hi Plant Friends.

I hope you have been enjoying the growth that you're seeing

in your outdoor gardens if you have them

and if you don't I hope that your

indoor plants are just having growth spurt left and right in this

amazing summer season if you listened to the Orchid 101 episode you'll know that I have been caring for and

by caring for I mean basically almost killing several times a very dormant

fallinops's orchid that I inherited from a friend last year.

And this week I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw that it is growing a new leaf.

Oh my goodness, I can't even explain how excited I am about that.

So plan friends, if I can nurse this poor, sad, wrinkled,

busted orchid back to life. I swear to you, you can do anything, believe me.

bloomed this week on my little balcony and it's been kind of special because my

balcony is kind of these gray gross iron medley bars and I have this construction site in the back so it's kind of like a

very dreary view and I have these little bright yellow sunflower heads just smiling at me when I have my coffee in the morning now.

They're kind of propped up against the bars.

It's just been really special.

Plants are amazing.
