All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Tear Down.

My name is Jeff Luck I'm

along with my co-worker Jordan Bianchi we are motorsports writers for the athletic

and today we're here to talk about the Dover NASCAR race we're recording this on a

Monday afternoon not a Sunday as we do, because the race got postponed.

But I feel bad because probably all of you weren't able to watch the race.

But those of us who were, we actually got to see quite the good Dover race, Jordan.

Quite the pleasant surprise, I would say.

Dover is one of those races.

You look at in the calendar and you kind of shrug your shoulders and say, eh, it's Dover.

It is what it is.

It's not anticipated.

I think that's fair to say.

It's not one of those races that people get excited about.

This delivered.

This was a really good race.

This is one of the better Dover races in recent memory. A lot of action,

a lot of different strategy, a lot of different things going on. And the three big storylines

for me anyway coming out of this or one, Chase Elliott's win is first on an oval since November

2020, which I think is a deal, a big deal. His crew chief, Alan Gustafson, kind of dismissed

it afterwards a little bit.

I think it's notable.
