Donald Trump this week went on an all-out racist tirade against Somali Americans as ICE agents

descended on Minneapolis, New Orleans, and other cities to carry out mass arrests of immigrant

workers. People all over the United States are taking to the streets on Saturday, December 6, in protest against a new U.S. war, this time in Latin America and against the people of Venezuela.

I'm Leanne Seema Fulahan, and this is in the news, a segment of the Socialist Program, a patron's only episode.

Leanne, the United States invaded Iraq on March 19, 2003. That's, you know, 22 years ago.

It was a war based on lies. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis died. Tens of thousands of U.S.

soldiers were either killed or had life-changing injuries. The U.S. spent trillions of dollars.

The U.S. was eventually defeated in that war. And the whole thing was premised on a lie that

Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Now Donald Trump is preparing and sending the forces needed to carry out a war against Venezuela,

based also, just like Iraq, on lies.

And the American people, working class people, the children of working class parents will be the ones

to pay the price, not to mention the people of Venezuela who will be the main targets.

People, as you mentioned, all over the country are going into the streets as they need to

to sound the alarms to stop this war before it starts.
