0:17.0	you'd prefer to skip? Most, if not all of us, have portions of scripture that we treat like the end-user license agreement for using a new app,
0:26.9	or the credits that roll at the end of a movie. It's a bunch of information,
0:31.5	but we're not really sure why it matters. It can all feel so monotonous.
0:37.0	If you're like me, I can't help but be drawn to the parts of the Bible that excite me, that interest me me easily the parts that are already
0:44.6	underlined and found on coffee mugs but when it comes to the other parts the
0:49.4	parts that feel like drawn out movie credits?
0:52.6	Well, I'm tempted to move on.
0:54.7	It's completely normal to feel this way
0:56.8	about parts of the Bible.
0:58.5	But feeling that way can sometimes be like a check engine light
1:01.8	in a car. It's something to pay attention to. I had a
1:05.6	seminary professor who said, if you want to know what parts of the Bible you
1:09.4	really need to pay attention to, look for the stretches of scripture where you don't have anything
1:15.2	underlined or highlighted. There's a good chance that you're missing
1:19.4	something and that you need to be formed by those words more than you know.
1:25.0	Our passage today is a little bit like that.
1:28.0	The list of Jesus followers who have Nehemiah Chapter 7 through 8 underlined and highlighted?
1:33.6	Well that list is probably small.
