Hey everyone, welcome back to LOL Story Time. It's the Goofy Story Podcast for Kids.

Today's story is called Monkey Hotel and features characters named after Greta and Jake.

Emma. I also have a couple of birthday shoutouts to make. First, happy birthday to Isabella from

Northern Ireland and happy birthday to Idris, who is about to turn seven. Today's story's a wee bit long,

so I'm just going to hurry up and get right

into it.

This is the story of the family vacation Jake had been begging his parents to go on for as long as he

could remember. He didn't have any particular place in mind.

He just wanted to go somewhere, anywhere.

But sometimes it felt like his parents were purposely trying to avoid taking a vacation.

Okay, Mom and Dad, Greta and I have a school break coming up,

and we feel this would be the perfect time for a family trip,' suggested Jake.

"'Yeah,' agreed Greta.

"'Might I remind you our family has never been on a trip together?

Unless you took one when I was a baby, and I've since forgotten.

But why would anyone waste a trip on a baby, when babies are really good at not remembering stuff?

That's when families should get all the boring stuff out of the way, since the babies will just forget how boring it was anyway.

Greta's dad just stared at her like he had no idea what she was talking about.
