This week the economist Richard Thaler was announced as the winner of this year's

Nobel Prize for Economics. Mr Thaler was given the award for his contribution

to behavioral economics, a field that explores how psychology affects economic decision-making.

We interviewed Mr Thaler last year on The Economist Asked, and here's a little clip from that.

Sure, there may be some Larry Summers or Joe Stiglitz

among the people being nudged, but they can ignore it.

And the rest of us probably need a little help in figuring out how much we need to save

a retirement and what would be the best way to do it.
