right? They're a top incentive for a lot of people, especially illegal immigrants, looking to work

right here in the United States. And there are a very broad system set up to help them send

money home to their families or their communities back where they came from. All that money up for taxation.

AP said this. It said House Republicans have included in President Donald Trump's big priority bill,

a 5% excise tax on remittance transfers that would cover more than 40 million people,

including green card holders and non-immigrant visa holders,

such as people on H-1B, H-2A, and H-2B visas. It notes that U.S. citizens would be exempt,

so Americans sending money to other countries, don't worry about it. And also recently

announced that he is finalizing a presidential memorandum to, quote,

shut down remittances sent by people in the U.S. illegally, effectively eliminating the, you know,

motivation to come here and work if you're an illegal immigrant. That's, of course, in addition to

the bill right now.
