already got some MLB action underway this morning, JVT. We are scoreless in Padres, Phillies in the

fourth right now. I feel bad for Brandon Bayo, the way that, for Brian Bayo, excuse me, the way things

have gotten underway, a six spot for Baltimore in Boston there to get things underway and squirrels as well in the second between the guardians and Yankees. One more game still to get underway in a few minutes as well with San Francisco and Milwaukee. Anything there for you? Nothing there for me. Houser taking on Crow. I haven't seen much of Crow here. Adrian Hauser's season, though, is not

gone particularly well over 11 starts. The ERA is well over five. All the expected numbers are there, too. So one would expect that you're not getting much from him. Strikeout rates down this year. Command has been wonky again. And then to add something even worse for him, the rate of which the home runs, he is allowing the worst of his career at this point right now.

So would not expect that I am running to the window to Backhouser to do anything, but maybe get absolutely canned today by the brewers. Heard that. We will talk more baseball a little bit later on in the show. We'll keep you updated on all of these scores as we go as well. But let's at the table for everything else we have on deck today. This is the rundown. We are officially a week out from the World Cup. We got some World Cup watch.

Chris Veseli of Covers is going to join us later on this hour to get his breakdown. Excited for

that conversation a little later. I don't know how you feel about the world's game, but I do enjoy the sport of soccer, especially the World Cup. I'm just like every other white person, and I'm right in this thing when it comes around every four years. So I have really excited for this. I'm excited for the content we're going to have here. Patrick Maher doing a fantastic job, the hour before us.

But I am very excited for this thing to get started in less than two weeks, pretty much a week away from now. And so, yes, I am looking forward to talking with the silly man to see what's going on. Games all over the place in the U.S., Mexico and Canada will be fun in the U.S. later on tonight out there in Raleigh. Will we get a Stanley Cup storm surge tonight in game two for the home Carolina hurricanes? They are a favorite to bounce back after the 5-4 loss in game one. We'll preview this at length today. E.J. Radick of NHL Network is going to join us. And later on, end of the show, we'll have Minty Betts in studio as well for her perspective. Yep, get a lot of different angles on this. It seems like, unlike the series, we'll talk about in a couple of minutes, that there was a pretty, like, split opinion on how this was going to go in the Stanley Cup final. So with one of the books and one later tonight, I am very much looking forward to seeing how people will handicap the bounce back, you included. Yes, I am sticking to my guns on this bet. We will dive into that a little bit later on. But we have buried the lead long enough to the Hardwood where the Knicks and Captain Clutch Steel Game 1 in the NBA finals. They trailed by as many as 14, but the Knicks get it done. Close things out, JVT on an 11-0 run. Jalen Brunson has the slow start, but 13 of his 30 come in the fourth quarter to not only win on the road straight up as a dog, but to win by double digits in this spot. I would have preferred for our headline to be Knicks are trouble. K-A-T, because I thought it was

about Carl Anthony Towns last night. Cat was absolutely tremendous for this team. 18 points, 12

rebounds, four assists, seven to 15 from the floor. Jalen Brunson does not get to close that game

out yesterday unless Carl Anthony Towns is Carl Anthony Towns. But regardless, we're getting individual matchups and everything that happened. It was a great performance from New York. They're down by 14. You're thinking, or at least I am, okay, maybe this is it. We had talked about them not playing a defense that had really mattered up until this point. Maybe you're about to run into a brick wall here.

Your offense is having some trouble. Nobody's really shooting the ball well. Bronson is all over the place. And maybe he's a little dinged up. Maybe reality is about to set in for this next group. They do not go away. They do not say die. And they are a tremendous story. they're a fun watch and are up on nothing in the NBA final.
