It is a big day in the NFL, June 1.

Always mark your calendar for that. We talk throughout the course of the offseason about the post-June-1 designations. It's also a big time for potential trades. We got a big one earlier today with Miles Garrett going to the Rams. We'll discuss in a moment still on Trade Watch for A.J. Brown from Philadelphia to New England. We have an update on that. Plenty to get to in the NHL Stanley Cup finals.

We're going to preview that at length coming up in about 15 minutes.

But let's start here off the top with some of this Miles Garrett news because we finally do know the official compensation in full, which you told me you just had pulled up, correct?

So Jared verse, a 2027 first round pick, a 2008 second round pick and a 2009 third round pick.

We'll all go to Cleveland for one Miles Garrett.

Okay.

That is the package. So I think that the timing is at least a little bit interesting considering last year was when Miles Garrett actually had the trade demand. And he's like, I'm not going to come play for you guys. Oh, just goes on to win defensive player of the year for the Browns, comes back, kind of quietly signs that extension and set a single season record for sacks now this rams team

that was already favored to win the super bowl anyways just continues to add and making moves on

both sides of the ball yeah i mean this is their mo it's been the rome for a really long time

the the thought of using picks to go and get established veterans obviously matthew stafford, now here with Miles Garrett, this is exactly what we know that they're going to do. And frankly, I can't really blame them. You're a team that is on the cusp of competing for a Super Bowl. You have the reigning MVP. You were, by all accounts, outside of two results, equals with the Seattle Seahawks when it came to a power rating standpoint. I mean, there was not that much separating those two on a football field. So the fact that you feel that you can ship this off, mortgage the future to an extent, and say, hey, here we go. We want one more crack at this. I think it makes some sense. I will again say that I think it doesn't make sense that you spent a first round pick on a quarterback that's not going to play for four years if you thought your window was now and thus we're going to trade for Miles Garrett. But that is water under the bridge at this point. And I think that when you look at this, could you make the argument? You know, I think it's been tweeted out. Their odds to make the playoffs minus 500, the highest of any team right now up on the board.

Yeah, like maybe could you quibble with it being somewhat too high?

But this team is well equipped to compete here in the NFC.
