And I actually want to start JVT, though, in college football because we have a story coming through this

morning where college football meets gambling. And obviously that's something that we're going to

discuss here on the program. But Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brennan Sorsby, who was number one transfer portal quarterback this offseason coming over from Cincinnati,

reportedly is checking into a residential treatment program for gambling addiction.

So ESPN's Pete Thamble dropped this story earlier this morning, said, quote,

his decision to seek treatment came in the wake of the discovery.

Soresby was making thousands of online bets on a variety of sports that could jeopardize his

eligibility. In the report, FAML's sources say Sorsby bet on Indiana football while redshirting

for the Hoosiers as a true freshman in 2022, played in one game as a reserve. The bets on

Indiana were all to win and none came in a game he appeared. But this is kind of the basis of everything that's come out this morning. Yeah, I think we should first off be adults about this. You know, the NFL, NBA, all these different leagues have different rules about certain gambling policies. But I think the NBA has done it right to an extent where it's just like,

hey man, just don't bet on our stuff. Don't bet on yourself. Everything else is free game. We know your adults. This is how this thing works. And that should be the same thing here. So I can understand why you would not want him to bet on those games. Now, I think if you actually looked at it with some sense of logic and you would understand that he was a red shirt, that he didn't participate in any the games that he played in, then you can understand that really, and especially betting on the team to win that he is on, that there's nothing there from a nefarious standpoint, but I can understand an objection to, hey, he should not be doing that. But if a vast majority of these are in different sports, then I just don't really understand. It goes back to the NFL when they had those rash of suspension storming.

A lot of people are like, well, the NFL's got a gambling problem. No, they have a rules problem because a lot of their rules were very restrictive and that caused more people to get caught because of the way that it was set up. So be curious to see. I mean, you mentioned it. Texas Tech is odds on favorite to win the Big 12 this year at minus 105. they are 18 or so to 122 to 1, excuse me, to win a national championship, much as expected of them. But in large part because of Sorsby's presence. And if he is now going to be suspended or anything because of this, then you are in a very, very bad spot, obviously, if you're the Red Raiders. And this has implications down the board as well it's ripple

effects to the teams below and above if texas tech is essentially removed from the board because he is

not eligible to play yeah and i mean for him personally too he's in line to make five mill

reportedly from texas tech to be a potential high draft pick in 2027, one of the most productive and experienced

returners in college football this year. So what does that look like? And I know, especially
