No surprise at number one in the NFL draft last night, Fernando Mendoza, goes to the Las Vegas Raiders here.

I did love, by the way, that I know he caught some flack from the league and Commissioner Roger Goodell for not coming and showing up when the expectation is you're going to be number one. But I love like for him as a human being, his mom dealing with MS the way she is. She can only make one trip. He wanted her to be able to make the trip out here to Vegas to get introduced for the team officially. Just seems like a very sweet kid, a sweet family. Yes. Seems is the key word. That's true. We never know. You never know about anybody. Behind closed doors. That's like your favorite thing these days. These days, that's how I operate. That is exactly, I mean, you can't trust anybody as far as you can throw them.

Ever since the Mark Sanchez thing came out, you've been big on that, though. No, that's pretty much how I've operated my entire life. I still don't trust you. You can be a complete piece of garbage. You don't think I exist outside of the times that you see me, though. you think it's all a simulation and that I'm not actually a real person.

Yeah, nothing is real.

Or it's like a Truman show-s type thing.

So that's a whole thing.

But for Mendoza,

it goes number one overall. There was so much back and forth. We discussed it earlier between David Bailey and Arbel-R-Rees. How is that going to shake out with the Jets? Obviously, we know now that it is Bailey. Jeremiah Love goes three to the Arizona Cardinals. what's your general philosophical feel for a team that's going to pay that much money for a running back?

going to pay that much money for a running back? I mean, you should be good, right? I mean, don't you

think that? Don't you think you should be kind of good if you're going to, because a running back like

that is a cherry on top, if you will? Does this make sense? And a cutromal, does that make sense? Like something you want to add to make the entire thing better when you already have a base? Yeah. I mean, what's he going to do out there? As we have seen a thousand times over out here, the city in which we rest our cheeks. Like that is, we saw it last year. They don't have an offensive line. Yes. Yeah. That was the whole entire, you know, working locally and talking about that and doing it on here. It was not an anti-Gente thing. It is a you don't have the structure in place to make Genty what he can potentially be. And they learned that the really hard way in Las Vegas the season ago. And so now it's the same thing where it's like, yeah, Jeremiah Love probably could be the best player in this draft, as many said. His skill set looks great, looks like an awesome athlete, could be great both between the tackles outside in the past catching game. Who in the world is throwing the ball to him? When the world is that offensive line look like? How in the world is he going to operate? Is he going to be met with three or four defenders every single time he takes a snap? And then by the time you finally have the structure in place to potentially be competitive, a position that largely has a very short shelf life because of the physicality, he's going to be at the tail end of his first contract and you just don't know where you're going to be. That, to me, is what doesn't make sense.

I feel like, honestly, though, for the Cardinals,

they're one of a handful of organizations that it just feels like standard operating procedure. But to your point, yes, I am excited about Jeremiah Love as a player in the National Football League and what he has the potential to be, but is he being set up for success playing in that offense behind that offensive line,

not having quarterback?

it was like a thunder situation. What I mean with that is, so the thunder now have a lottery pick because the clipper stink. They saw that last pick from the Paul George trade. So if they slip up into the top and, you know, if it was like the chiefs, for example, that for some reason for a late trade had, you know, the Giants first round pick this year.

Then go ahead and draft them because you've got the structure in place to maximize what those

talents are.
