I think watch so much football during the course of the season and then watch pretty much

every game during a European championship.

It was just completely footballed out and delighted for a break and I

absolutely loved the Olympic Games so that was a wonderful I was going to say

methadone to the heroin of football but it was all better than that it was like

some healthy living alternative to

taking any kind of drugs at all it felt weirdly clean anyway yeah no but now I'm

starting to get excited about the prospect of a new season and being back on the right class is a big reason for that.

Very good. It's one of those weird band wagons that seems to have started that the Olympics is all

Corinthian spirit or should I say Olympic spirit and that was all that was good and

and football is always evil and we need to get back into a cynical mindset

do you bind to that one wholeheartedly?

No in fact I've made a sort of pre-season resolution with myself whereby I'm just going to be a positive

and optimistic about football.

It's not to say I'm not going to acknowledge the things that are wrong about United,

which are plentiful, but I'm just generally going to try and maintain

a sunny disposition throughout the season whatever come what may last season my resolution
