Hello, whinnevers. My name is Jesse Meekham with another episode of the

whinab podcast and I'm here each week to obsess out loud about spending

purposefully saving aspirationally and even to obsess out loud about spending purposefully,

saving aspirationally, and even giving joyfully.

It all comes down to just four simple habits.

Let us review.

Give every dollar a job. Embrace your true expenses. Roll with the punches and age

your money. Last week I talked about how people, whether they're living paycheck to paycheck, or far from it,

both do the same thing, where they try and create some distance between themselves and their money.

I don't want to worry about it. I don't have to worry about it. You know, either one.

It's just like, ah, finally, that chore. I don't have to do that anymore. Another little insidious phrase that people

will do oftentimes to counter, okay here we go. Someone will say like, you know, you don't want to be in it for the money or whatever. Or, you know, the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil. And then someone will say, aha, it's the love of money, but not

money itself. And then they'll say something like, money is just a tool. You know, they'll try and

make the argument of like, it's just like let's listen it's a

tool it's like a hammer you know a hammer can be used as a weapon where it can be used to

build your dream home you know things like that you can bludgeon someone with a hamman, but you can also build

your daughter's dollhouse. Something like that. That was fun. I should just keep doing those hammer

references. You can, no can no the the money is a tool

thing I actually don't like I don't like that at all I still think it's creating just

like last week this distance between you

hey listen listen listen I know it's money shh I know it's money

but listen hey money's just a tool you know don't worry it's just a tool. It's amoral, it's agnostic, it's a luff. It doesn't care, it doesn't matter.
