So this week we're sharing an episode from our friends at NPR's It's Been a Minute.

Well, this week, we wanted to hear from one of you all.

And so we got this submission from a listener named Thistle.

I'm a social worker in California.

And last year, I made about $70,000.

And here are my answers to some of the uncomfortable money questions.

What was the last thing you bought on impulse? How much was it? And how did you feel after? Okay, so my family and our neighbors had a lot of fun watching hockey together this season, where San Jose Sharks fans, and we were over at their house a couple weeks ago to watch the last game of the season. And during one of the intermissions, I was looking on Poshmark on my phone and I found someone who had a shark's gear a couple sweatshirts and t-shirts for our family and our neighbor's family.

And all together it came out to $125, which felt like a great deal.

So definitely no regrets about that purchase.

What's a financial mistake that still haunts you? When I was 17, my Nana died and I inherited

about $45,000. And at the same time, I was in the middle of applying for college. And I got into

Oberlin College, which is a small liberal arts college in

Ohio. And they offered me some financial aid, but not as much as I've been hoping for. But now that

I had this money from my Nana, that made it feel possible. And as soon as I got there, I realized that I

just did not like it there in California. And I found out I hated the snow, and I felt really

isolated being so far away from all of my family and support system. So I stayed at Oberlin
