Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update from Monday, May

19th. Happy Monday, folks. Your Mondays are all off to a great start, and you had a terrific

weekend, and you're ready to start the work week. A massive win for the Trump administration

this afternoon from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court today allowed the Trump administration

to strip legal protections from 350,000 plus Venezuelans, potentially exposing

them to deportation.

The court's order, which only had one dissent, puts hold of ruling from a federal judge in San

Francisco that kept in place temporary protective status for Venezuelans that would have

otherwise expired last month.

Status allows people already in the United States to live and work legally because their

native countries are deemed unsafe for return due to natural disaster or civil strife.

So now, with that Supreme Court ruling today, that's no longer valid here in this country.

Good on the Supreme Court.

Now let's get a few more victories, and we can get this America First agenda rolling.

The House Budget Committee has passed President Trump's budget reconciliation package.

It passed on Sunday night with a vote of 17 to 16 with four people voting present.

After failing to pass President Trump's budget package on Friday, GOP lawmakers have reconvened,

and now they might be ready to get ready and pass that thing on the House floor.

House Republicans are taking intense talks with hardliners about changes to the bill,

which is expected to make implementations of Medicare and Medicaid work

and requirements sooner and more quickly phase out green energy tax credits, but as of Sunday night's committee
