| 0:13.7 | Once again, America's heart is torn by a school shooting. |
| 0:17.2 | In this case, the shooting took place in Barrow County, Georgia. |
| 0:20.4 | The shooter was a 14-year-old, and the dead in this case include two other 14 year old |
| 0:26.1 | children and two school teachers. |
| 0:29.1 | Now every one of these cases is unique, and on the briefing we do not discuss every one of these cases because |
| 0:36.1 | we do not want to give publicity to this kind of shooter and in many cases that's exactly |
| 0:41.2 | what they are looking for. So with that in mind I am not going to |
| 0:44.3 | mention the boy's name. I'm not even going to mention the name of the boy's father. |
| 0:48.2 | I'm going to talk about the meaning and the significance, the Christian worldview |
| 0:52.3 | implications of the story as it is unfolding. |
| 0:55.8 | First of all, it is an unmitigated tragedy. |
| 0:58.3 | And it's a tragedy if we were talking about the shooting of a human being by another human being in the first place. |
| 1:05.0 | But it's not just that. |
| 1:06.3 | It is the shooting of multiple human beings. |
| 1:08.8 | In this case, we're talking about students and teachers in a school. There were nine who were injured but there were the four who were killed. |
| 1:16.5 | Now almost immediately we tried to find some kind of sense in the middle of this kind of horrifying crime. |
| 1:23.1 | So a part of trying to seek the sense is understanding motivation, how the motivation was then |
| 1:28.8 | somehow in an intersection with the opportunity, and we want to know what kind of grievance this shooter had, |
