This Monday morning's news is ripe for me to bring back our favorite segment, headlines

that speak for themselves.

First up, an advisory panel for the FDA overwhelmingly rejected, with a 16-to-2 vote, a plan to give

Pfizer COVID vaccine boosters to all Americans, and instead of only recommending an extra

vaccine dose for people who are 65 years or older, or who are immunocompromised and at

high risk for severe disease.

The recommendation is non-binding, and it's possible that the FDA could make a different

decision than the panel recommended.

Personally, I find this recommendation a bit concerning, given that hours before the

FDA vote, the CDC released a study showing that vaccine protection with the Pfizer vaccine

drops significantly in the four months after full vaccination, where effectiveness fell

from 91% to 77% at preventing hospitalization.

After Texas passed its legislation that effectively banned abortions after six weeks, a Texas

physician named Dr. Allen Brade says that he performed one in the first publicly acknowledged

abortion since the ban passed.
