Let's get into today's episode. It is Monday, September 19th, 2022. The Core 4, the four

headlines you need to know. Major storms began hitting opposite sides of the U.S. this weekend in both Alaska and Puerto Rico.

The storm in Alaska is one of the worst to hit the state in recent history.

Alaska's governor declared a state of emergency on Saturday as West Coast Alaskan towns were dealing with strong winds of about

50 to 75 miles per hour, as well as flooding while bracing for power outages. More than 100 people

were sheltering at a school in the Hooper Bay area as the Bering Sea surged into their town on Saturday.

And in the southeast, Puerto Rico is facing a total blackout

as the entire territory lost power from Hurricane Fiona yesterday.
