look forward to NFL week number three combined will go a little bit longer. Expect this one to end up in the 22 to 25 minute range.

Let's start things up Thursday night football giants on the road at the 49ers look ahead with San Francisco minus 9 and a half.

That is now San Francisco minus 10 and a half total up a point as well from the look ahead of 43 and a half 24 and a half.

And I think that is going to trend a little bit higher think we see that settle once we get to the true openers tomorrow morning at 45.

Let's talk about this one two key injury names to note Brandon Ayuk for the 49ers sake one Barkley for the Giants both of those guys banged up in the week two games.

Barkley looked to be much more serious but you're talking about a huge part of the Giants offense and the number one wide receiver for Brock party in Brandon Ayuk.

In terms of what happened within both of the games for both of these teams it was a tale of two games within one for each side for the Giants in the first half defense was a complete no show Cardinals running wide open.

It was too easy for Josh dobs and that limited offensive tack that the Cardinals have everything was wide open for them and then extended into the early part of the third quarter as well.

For the 49ers it was on the flip side defensively made life way too easy for the Rams in the first half they were playing off coverage trying to keep everything in front.

They were not blitzing they were not bringing extra guys the Rams just had three first half possessions they scored on each and I mean it was way too easy for what this Rams offense has.

Second half for the Giants obviously they switch they get the comeback much more aggressive on offense.

Blitz and the pressure from Wink started to get home a little bit forced a few puns from the Cardinals Giants come back they get the victory that they should have had no part of earning the way that the first two and a half quarters in that game went.

The Niners eventually wore down the Rams offensive front the pressure started getting home defenders starting to play more aggressive started jumping routes for some turnovers.

That was much more like what we saw the 49ers defense play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in that second half and was a reflection of how good this defense could be.

What I would say about Brock party we saw a couple cracks in the armor so to speak a little bit of signs that he is human missed three to four wide open shots downfield that absolutely should have contributed to the 49ers who did still finish with 30 points on the scoreboard.

There was some huge misses party still finished 0.6% above expectation but those were throws he usually always makes and he missed them and missed them badly.

And so whether that was a combination of IUK not being out there not being 100% and just kind of the way the game was going certainly good to tell but the Rams got a couple big breaks to kept them in that game and San Francisco should have absolutely got the cover.

A painful one on the release was San Francisco minus seven as McVeigh kicks a meaningless buzzer beater field goal which he lined up to kick with three seconds left on the clock and so a weird way to finish there but it was still more than two yards per play the better was San Francisco almost three yards the better per pass.
