Kurt for today's episode. Hey guys, welcome back. We are in Genesis 26 today, and we're going to finish

the chapter, I think, beginning in verse 23. I was thinking about Isaac. You know, Isaac, to me,

is the forgotten patriarch. I mean,

what a, the more I read about him and the more I revisit his life now in this study,

the more I just appreciate his spirit and his commitment. He's sandwiched between Abraham,

of course, famous for obvious reasons.

And then Jacob, a lot of messages, a lot of scripture passages that deal with Jacob.

And of course, Israel. The most used the name of the Bible is Israel. Jacob became Israel.

But here's Isaac sandwich right between them,

and I'm just loving learning more about and reminding myself more about some of the good

decisions he made. So he's redigging the wells of Abraham. And it says in verse 23, he went up from thence to Bersheba.

Bersheba meaning the well of the oath. Shiba means actually seven. Shiva is the number

seven in Hebrew. So it's the seven U-Lams that Abraham had offered. We're going to find that again in this chapter

with Isaac repeating the oath and renaming, reaffirming the name of Bersheba. But here he is

in Bersheba. And watch what happens in verse 24. The Lord appeared unto him the same night.
