Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Monday morning of Holy Week, Jesus was returning from Bethany,

where he had spent the night at the home of his friends, Martha, Mary, and Lazarith.

He went into Jerusalem, and as he passed by Bethphage, seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it and found

nothing on it but leaves, and he said to it, may you never bear fruit again.

And at that instant, the fig tree withered and died. Jesus condemns the fig tree because it was not

bearing fruit. Oh, the tree was busy, busy making leaves,

but it wasn't doing what God wanted.

The fig tree was a prophetic sign.

Jesus expects us to bear fruit,

and especially in three ways, in a deeper life of prayer, in growth in virtue,

and that we actually help our family and friends to a deeper relationship with Jesus through spiritual friendship.

Are we bearing the fruit?

Or are we just busy making leaves?

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallow would be your name.

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us,
