And as we start this new week,

we begin with the new hurricane threat

that is rapidly intensifying

after parts of Florida.

We're already devastated by Hurricane Helene.

That struck just 11 days ago, Robin. And now Hurricane Milton is taking aim.

Our Southeast strong team has been on the ground and some of the communities recovering

after Helene. Now with the destruction and debris still lining the streets, Florida's

West Coast is bracing for a direct hit. Ginger starts us off in Redington Shores, Florida.

Yes, Robin, we just got the update. Category 3, 120 mile per hour max sustained winds. Milton is rapidly intensifying as we speak, but it is hard to imagine when you've got

piles of debris that line these streets and I mean hundreds of them with people's

belongings all of their clothing and we're about to get hit again with the second major

landfalling hurricane we had record surge with Helene and now it will be

beat with one that is even worse coming for us by Wednesday.

This morning Florida is bracing for Hurricane Milton. The entire Florida peninsula on the Gulf side has the potential to have major impacts.
