Gillan and Amy Garcia are both celebrating. John Stewart, Ed Harris, Paul Schaefer as well,

and the legendary musician Randy Newman. This guy, he's 79 today. Happy birthday to all of them.

You've got a friend in me. You've got a friend in me. All right, let's jump in. It's a quick

and efficient look at all the headlines. We go fast. We start with the top story.

Since it is Cyber Monday, today, that's holiday shopping online spending on Thanksgiving day.

Hit a record, $5.29 billion. And then the next day, another record, Black Friday,

hit $9.12 billion in sales. That's up from $8.92 the year before. And today, Cyber Monday,

online sales are projected to be around $11.2 billion. That's a lot of money. I have a couple

hot deals coming up for you in a minute. Not everybody teases their commercials, but I do. I'm proud

of them. I've thrown a lot of numbers around here, but to put that in perspective on an average day,

we here in America spend between $2.3 billion online. And again, today, it's expected to be over $11.

Billion. With all of that said, though, the experts still say in-store shopping, like physically

in a store, will still account for the majority of holiday shopping. All right, all right. Okay,

a couple sports headlines. Now, the biggest story in the sports world continues to be the world cup.

Hey, we're undefeated USA. USA. We've had two ties so far. The latest was a draw with England

and the American fellows will be back on the pitch tomorrow afternoon. The face Iran, and it's a

must-win situation. If they can do it, they'll move on to the round of 16. There's been a whole

bunch of drama, though, around that match after the United States soccer federation posted a

graphic with an altered Iranian flag that took out the emblem of the Islamic Republic from the flag.
