and today is Monday, November 20th, 2023. The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know.

Three huge updates from the war between Israel and Hamas. The first two are actually pretty positive if you're sick of watching people die in the area. But the third is pretty tragic. First, the good news, though. It looks like we might be close to an actual ceasefire, along with up to 50 hostages being released back to Israel. The ceasefire deal would be signed by Israel, Hamas, and the U.S.

And it ensures that both sides put their military operations on hold for at least five days.

Now, unfortunately for the Palestinians in Gaza, there doesn't seem to be any assurance of fuel being

restored in the area, which means there is still going to be a significant

humanitarian crisis, even if other supplies are allowed to be delivered.

Now, even though it's not signed yet, the ceasefire will also include hostages being

returned from Hamas to Israel with the youngest being released first. Hostages would be let go

in small batches over the five days, and the number

released could eventually be higher than 50. Now, for the second positive update from this

awful situation, Iran just announced it will not use its military forces in a war with Israel,

as long as Israel doesn't attack it on first, which is something that Israeli news outlets have been asking for.

Now, for Hamas, that's not great news because it means they won't get direct military support from the country that basically funds its operations.

But if you're looking to avoid a possible World War III situation, this is very good news because Iran joining the war effort against Israel would

almost certainly bring in the United States, and that in turn would bring in a whole bunch of
