Well, hello there. It's Morgan Harper-Nichols here. I'm an artist and a writer, and this is a space where I turn the lens on various topics and subjects in hopes to learn something new or see something in a new way. And today's episode is called How to Overcome Negative self-talk.

The way we talk to ourselves matters, and if the words we speak to ourselves are not kind and are not rooted in truth, they can be a lot more damaging than we realize.

1:31.4

You may have lived with some of these words for a very long time, but you do not have to hold

1:36.9

onto them forever. There is still room to let them go. There is still time to be free to believe that there are kinder ways

1:46.6

of speaking to yourself, and it's worth the journey of exploring what those ways are. Because beneath

1:53.3

those words, you can actually acknowledge what you are feeling in the moment. And if you can,

1:58.9

you could take the time to even journal out what those actual

2:01.8

feelings are and the stories that lie underneath the negative things you've said about yourself.
