shootings take place in the city. She found that just a small number of city blocks accounted

for most of the shootings, including some blocks or intersections where shootings happen over

and over year after year.

Plus, later in the show for our seventh thing in this centennial series, 100 years of 100 things, a history of New York baseball.

But first, we turn to the news to the presumptive Democratic nominee for president,

Vice President Kamala Harris.

A new ABC News, Ipsos poll, released just yesterday,

shows she's enjoying a bounce in her favorability rating among

Americans days after President Joe Biden bowed out of the race and endorsed her. Within a span of a

week, her polling numbers jump from 35 to 43 percent. And while in recent years, vice presidents

have played an increasingly important role in our government.

They often do so in the background.
