The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. Back on April 22nd, I told you about Georgia

Representative Marjorie Taylor Green going to court as a group of voters were looking to

disqualify her from running for re-election due to her involvement in and support of the January

6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. The voters who attempted to get Green taken off the ballot were

using a part of the 14th Amendment that states anyone who participates in an insurrection may not

run for office. The judge on that case ruled that although her who participates in an insurrection may not run for office.

2021, there was insufficient evidence to prove Green had taken direct action to help the insurrectionists.

The judge did say there was an interview Green had done with Newsmax the day before the invasion of the Capitol, where she called the joint session of Congress Our 1776 moment.

That came close to being considered conduct that could have proven she worked with insurrectionists prior to the fateful day in Washington, D.C., but it was too vague and ambiguous to prove that she was complicit in the planning of those events.

Green will remain on the ballot to represent Georgia's 14th District in the state's primary on May 24th.
