On this date in 1985, the song We Are the World was released, originally written and recorded as a benefit single for African Famine Relief.

It holds up today and has been repurposed over the years for various disasters.

Anyway, the track which brought together Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Cindy Lopper, Bob Dylan,

and so many more. It's 37 years old today.

All right, getting into it, we always start with your top stories and again your daily update on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As the war rages on, it's sadly more of the same. US officials believe that Russia is ready to bombard Ukrainian cities into submission as they plan to deploy more troops and more violence.

There are stories this morning that say even though Russia broke the initial ceasefire agreements, they have reopened, quote, humanitarian corridors to allow Ukraine civilians a chance to flee to safety.

But according to these reports, these new corridors lead directly to Russia. Ukrainian officials are calling this move completely immoral.

Over the weekend, President Zelensky has been attempting to rally his people to keep fighting, defending and protecting their homeland.

He's also continuing to call on US and European leaders to protect his country's airspace with a no-fly zone.

But again, it's apparently a no-go as they say it would likely lead to a much larger war.

Zelensky has also spoken directly to the Russian people urging them to take to the streets in protest against the Kremlin.

We'll see what this week brings. And coming up in a bit, I've got the story of Brittany Griner, a WNBA star that is currently detained in Russia.

All right, okay, getting into sports, LeBron made history over the weekend. He scored 56 points against Golden State.

His highest scoring game ever with the Lakers. The team rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Steph Curry and the Warriors.

124 to 116. LeBron became the oldest player in NBA history to grab over 55 points.

The Lakers are still in ninth place in the Western Conference, but that sort of performance could kind of re-energize the organization.

We'll see. And this is a weird one, but since Major League Baseball players aren't returning to work quite yet,

Papa Johns is hiring any player with time on their hands. They posted a job opening titled Pre-season Pizza Pro.

So far, Dan's be swan son of the Braves and Jack Peterson. Currently a free agent have both taken the gig.

They were making pizzas and folding boxes. I know it's like a promotional stunt, but it's kind of a weird one, right?
