And we always start with the top story. It's not a good one this morning. The health ministry just said that the death toll in Gaza

has now passed 50,000. That is how many people have passed away since the start of Israel's war with

Hamas began in October of 2023. It's heartbreaking. And sadly, as the fighting continues, the

number is still going up.

The big story from the sports world over the weekend was the passing of George Foreman.

Very sad.

One of the most iconic boxers of all time.

He was a two-time heavyweight champion.

He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003. He was possibly just as well known in more recent years for his

George Foreman Grill. I used to love mine. One of my favorite facts about him is that he

named all five of his sons George. According to the official statement, he passed away Friday, surrounded by family.

He was 76 years old.

In other sports-related news, UFC fighter Connor McGregor just announced that he is running for

president in Ireland. He recently visited our president at the White House, and now he has

launched a bit of his own.
