0:37.4	Looks like things got pretty wild in Los Angeles this weekend. We will talk about that, what kind of triggered all of it and what we know so far. And the egg drama continues. I will tell you about it in The Core 4. Good morning and welcome to the Morning Show podcast. My name is Anthony. I'm Carla Marie, and today is Monday, June 9th, 2025. The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know.
0:59.5	It would be impossible to do an update this morning without mentioning what's been happening in L.A. this weekend.
1:05.7	And depending on where you jumped into this story, you've either been told Los Angeles is on fire or that Donald
1:11.6	Trump is trying to take over a city. And it's kind of a mess. So let's start from the beginning.
1:16.5	According to multiple sources, ICE agents conducted a sting operation to round up undocumented
1:21.9	immigrants at an elementary school graduation on Friday. Guns out, helicopters in the air, kids and parents
1:28.4	running around screaming, and a school lockdown. That ice operation then led to a community protest at
1:34.8	the ICE detention center in Los Angeles where a lot of these undocumented immigrants were being
1:39.2	held. Now, this is where the story gets a little fuzzy. On one side, the LAPD, L.A. Mayor and Governor Newsom
1:45.9	all said that the protest and the ones that popped up later were mainly peaceful and under
1:51.1	control. Then the federal government stepped in and Donald Trump said he would take control of
1:55.4	the California National Guard and send them in to put down the protest. As of last night,
