I'm Albert Moeller, and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian

0:12.4

worldview.

0:13.8

Even as the Supreme Court of the United States is poised to hand down a decision that is widely

0:19.3

expected and fervently hope to reverse the notorious Rovi-Wade decision of 1973, abortions are up in the United States.

0:28.0

We're looking at the year 2020, and according to statistics released just in recent days, the rate of abortion rose 7%.

0:36.8

As you look at the period from 2017 to 2020, the rate went up from 3.5 abortions per 1,000 women and girls of childbearing age.

1:24.8

that in the year 2020, one out of every five pregnancies ended in abortion.

1:30.9

One out of every five, just think about that for a moment. That means that if you line up all the women who had pregnancies during the period of the year 2020, 20 out of the 100, or put it another way, one out of five chose to end the pregnancy by abortion,

1:48.0

killing the unborn child, terminating the life rather than to carry the baby to term.

1:53.0

One out of five, we really are looking at something

1:56.1

that's beyond description as an atrocity

1:58.8

or even as a national crisis.
