So let me talk to you about this place.

This may be among the most theologically important sites in all of Israel.

And it's really kind of an anomaly site, and here's why.

We're outside of the borders of Jesus ministry. So the best

way to understand this event in the Bible is to understand the chronological context. And this is

something most people just don't get. So if you don't understand where Jesus was in his ministry at this time,

you're not going to understand Sessori of Philippi. So here's what happened. Jesus was essentially

rejected by the majority of his followers at the synagogue in Copernium.

When he preached the message on the bread of life,

the Bible says many of his disciples turned from him and walked away.

Okay?

So at that point, Jesus left, and he left for a period of months.

Like he went to Lebanon up this area, came back around to the feeding of the 4,000.

He made his way back across to Magdala.

All these sites now meaning something to you.

He was rejected at Magdalum.

They demanded a sign.

He got back in the boat. They to bethseda so we haven't been to besetta but it's more to the east of copernium when he gets there the townspeople bring a
