| 0:00.0 | It's Monday, June 16, 2025. I'm Albert Mueller, and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news |
| 0:11.9 | and events from a Christian worldview. We now know that Israel's attack on Iran's nuclear capacity |
| 0:18.3 | is ongoing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the operation |
| 0:23.7 | will go on, quote, for as many days as it takes. And he went on to say that all of this is because |
| 0:29.4 | of the threat to Israel's existence posed by a nuclear power in Iran, that is to say, in Iran with |
| 0:35.6 | nuclear weapons. But we also know a lot of details |
| 0:39.0 | about how Israel did this and the timing, why it happened when it happened. So number one, |
| 0:44.7 | one of the things we now know is that Israel had forward deployed drones and other weapons. |
| 0:50.4 | Now, just remember the fact that that was basically unknown in terms of the tactics of |
| 0:55.4 | modern warfare until the very same thing happened when Ukraine struck deep inside Russia. |
| 1:02.6 | And it was because they had forward deployed drones. A very similar thing turns out to have |
| 1:07.0 | been undertaken virtually at the same time by Israel. So even as the attacks were certainly coming about because of weapons sent from Israel to Iran, |
| 1:16.7 | and that included rockets and missiles, the reality is that drones were a big part of this picture |
| 1:21.9 | and may continue to be. |
| 1:24.1 | But it's also true that Israel, even as it has undertaken this attack upon Iran with the |
| 1:30.0 | avowed declaration that it's not going to stop until that nuclear capacity is nullified, |
| 1:35.6 | at least for now, it's also true that Israel is deployed across a number of different fronts, |
| 1:41.4 | most importantly in its war against Hamas and continuing military efforts |
| 1:46.4 | there in Gaza. But putting this in a strategic context, here's something we need to consider. |
| 1:52.3 | This is exactly how Israel plays the game. Or to put it in another way, this is how Israel has |
| 1:57.8 | survived. I want to mention three groups in particular. Just put Iran in the |
| 2:02.1 | background here, but mention Hezbollah, mentioned Hamas, mentioned the Houthi rebels. What Israel has |
