And also on this date in history, 68 years ago today, Disneyland opened in Anaheim, California, 1955.

It was the first Disney theme park ticket to get in cost $1. That's a true story. Things have changed a little bit.

Things people are going to be talking about on this Monday morning. We'll start with the top story as we always do.

All weekend, man, it was the heat. It's been one of the biggest stories all summer. Really, it's been oppressive.

Well, over 100 million people here in the US have been dealing with what they call a heat dome.

That's over a third of all Americans. It's stretched from Texas over to California with many records broken along the way.

I guess more than 1000 high temperature records in the US have been broken in the last year.

I saw online a woman in Texas baked a loaf of bread in her mailbox. It took her 45 minutes. She put the dough in and pulled out a loaf of bread.

Look good mailbox bread. I know a lot of people have been watching the temps in Death Valley, California tourists were flocking to experience these high temperatures.

The hottest temperature ever recorded on earth was 134 degrees in Death Valley. And yesterday it got up to 128 cooling centers have been popping up all over the place.

The National Weather Service is urging people to stay hydrated and check on neighbors. Stay safe.

Okay, all right. Getting into some sports headlines now.

First one of the big ones this weekend was the exciting conclusion of Wimbledon.

For the ladies, this is pretty incredible. Marquette Vandrosova became the first unseated woman to win it. A major shocker. She's a Czech tennis player.

She's 24 and she did it. Her first career grand slam. She was at Wimbledon with a cast on her arm last year.

She said a lot of injuries. And this year she came out on top for the men. That one wrapped up yesterday in a thrilling four and a half hour five set match.
