Summary

Ephesians 1:1 Paul loved the church at Ephesus! He spent a good deal of time personally preaching to them, leading them to Christ, and discipling them. He testified that the had preached to them the “whole counsel of God.” Yet there was more to say! In our study of this important letter, we will learn what doctrinal truth was essential (chapters 1-3) and what actions should arise in a believer’s life because of that truth (chapters 4-6).

watching. We're glad that you're here. We're in the book of Ephesians, as I just said, a little six-chapter

book in your New Testament,

one of the epistles. So we know that an epistle is a letter. Sometimes the apostle Paul

would write a letter to a church. Sometimes he wrote letters to individuals. But we know that

all of these epistles are part of the Word of God.

So in that sense, these are letters to us, and we can learn so much from books like the

Book of Ephesians.

I think it is important for us any time we look at any book of the Bible to ask ourselves
