0:14.0	Well, over the course of the last couple of weeks, there have been so many issues that have come
0:18.0	at us, issues that demand attention from Christians, an analysis from a Christian worldview, but we need to look at issues global, national, the
0:26.6	two thousand twenty four presidential election looming before us, and of course other issues
0:31.4	related to church life, ethical issues well we just need to get started and we need to get started right here with the big story being the fact that Donald Trump has appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States for relief
0:45.2	from action taken by the states of Colorado and Maine to remove him from their
0:49.5	ballots for the 2024 election.
0:53.0	Both of those states did the same thing.
0:55.0	They took action to remove Donald Trump from their ballots.
0:58.0	Now, the presenting issue before the Supreme Court
1:01.0	is going to be the Colorado case.
1:03.4	And the Colorado action was taken by a state court.
1:06.8	In Maine, it was taken by a state official.
1:08.8	The bottom line is still the same, citing the 14th Amendment
1:12.2	to the United States Constitution, Colorado and now Maine have
1:16.8	declared Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, to be guilty of being
1:21.6	an insurrectionist and thus to be
1:24.0	ineligible from appearing on a federal ballot.
