Two big things about today, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, of course, and what would have been Betty White's 100th birthday.

Those are our top stories, so let's just get into it.

Today we celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr.

He was a major leader in the Civil Rights Revolution. He's the only non-president to have a national holiday dedicated in his honor.

His birthday was actually the 15th, so it was Saturday, but because of the uniform holiday Monday act, we honor him on the third Monday of January every year.

I was very happy to hear that my five-year-old daughter came home from school on Friday talking about him.

They were learning about his life in kindergarten, and I just learned that he went to college at 15 years old, so a very gifted man.

And my friends, this one still stings 100 years ago.

Today, the great Betty White was born. She was born before Martin Luther King Jr. That's crazy to me.

And as you know, she passed away on December 31st following a stroke that she suffered on Christmas Day.

There is a brand new documentary to honor her originally called Betty White 100 Years Young.

It has now been renamed Betty White, a celebration. It will be in 1500 theaters across the country today, just a one-day showing.

In a few minutes, I'll have some more tribute events planned for her birthday today.

This story just to tie these two together, MLK Day and Betty White's birthday.

I like the story I heard it after her passing back in 1954.

Betty White took a public stance against racism, 1954.

At the time, she had a daily show on NBC, and one of the entertainers on the show was a black tap dancer.

And there were a bunch of complaints, people trying to get the show taken off the air.

And she said, this is her quote, I'm sorry, but he stays. Live with it.
