The Met fan seems more concerned than the Yankee fan. I ran a poll yesterday afternoon. I had Sean run the same poll. Like, who had the worst weekend? And it feels like my fellow Met fan is more in the dumps over what just happened than the Yankee fan has had. So we'll get to both. I will tell you the thing that, and I don't know if the right word, Tiki, is concern or bothers or just I'm confused.

I'm going to go with, I'm confused.

Okay.

I'm very confused about Francisco Lindor.

I'm not confused about the offensive struggles because four out of the six seasons he's been

here.

He's had tough March in April's, and he showed a pulse this weekend by getting four base hits.

The thing that I cannot figure out is why Francisco Lindor, early in the season, has already

committed four or five dumbass plays.

And we saw two of them over the weekend.

On Friday, he got picked off third base, even though Carlos Mendoza defended it on a ground

ball with first and third and nobody out.

And then on Saturday, not that it was going to change Kodi Senghis' performance, but instead

of covering second on a double play, he's running behind Marcus Simeon.

And those are not the first two dumb things Lindor's done.

We all remember him forgetting how many

outs there were. And those are the kinds of things I can't explain. Like I can explain him slumping

we're used to it. He'll be fine. And it's backed up by the data that he'll be fine. But what I can't

understand and you as the professional athlete, maybe you can explain it to all of us.

How did Francisco Lindor get stupid on a baseball field? It feels like there's a lack of comfort that used to be there.

Now, part of that offensively, when he's on the base pass and he's making these bonehanded errors,

is probably because of Carlos Mendoza's emphasis on aggression.
