0:35.5

It's amazing. Remember when we first started these and they were just, we were like, we're just going to try it for a little bit and see what happens.

0:41.0

Turns out the Monday fires are your favorite and and I love doing them. So we're going to be talking today about a conversation that I had with one of my coaching clients in my better way program.

0:53.5

So we're currently in our program where we're teaching women, you know, how to monetize their social media, how to monetize their business in eight different ways.

1:01.0

So we've got hundreds of women in there. It's fabulous or, you know, we've got coaching calls, Q and A's, etc.

1:07.0

So I had someone raise their hand of the day and come up on the screen and they they had a question for me about essentially it wasn't like the strategy as much as it was.

1:15.5

Hey, okay, so I'm getting ready to launch this thing and I can't remember now if she was talking about launching a course or launching a paid group or launching her blog or whatever.

1:24.5

And she was like getting ready to launch, but now she was second guessing herself and it was a really interesting conversation because, you know, whenever we're doing coaching calls like that, there's lots of people who are commenting in the comment section so I can kind of get the pulse for the group.

1:40.5

And there was lots of people like I know exactly how you're feeling. I feel the same way like now that I'm getting ready to do the thing that I said I was going to do all the sudden I'm second guessing myself.

1:50.5

One of the things that we put into our program this year was actually like asking people to make a commitment at the beginning of the program to not change course anywhere within the eight weeks simply because especially coaching creative women.

2:06.5

I know how many ideas most creatives have. I also know that whenever fear begins to really rise up in an entrepreneur, especially a female entrepreneur, especially especially a creative female entrepreneur that what will happen is you'll start feeling scared and so at the last minute you'll think I just won't do it.

2:26.5

I just like I'll just this is dumb. I'm dumb. Everything's done like I just won't. And what I was telling this precious client on her coaching call is like, look, there's no chicken exit.

2:36.5

Like you've gotten this far. There's no chicken exit and it was kind of like this funny, funny, ha ha little moment where we all giggled. But I really sat with that after our call and I was thinking how many of us want a chicken exit so often when we're building our business.

2:52.5

And maybe I thought of those words simply because I live in Kansas City. I live really close to worlds of fun. If you've ever been to Kansas City, you'll know that that's a huge amusement park.

3:00.5

It's fabulous. I'm actually from Iowa, but our our family used to vacation in Kansas City a lot in the summers. And you know, worlds of fun was just like it was just the best thing ever. You know when you're a kid like amusement parks are like so huge.

3:12.5

Well, there are a few amusement park rides still that do have chicken exits. You get to the top of I don't even know if there's one in Kansas City, by the way, because last year we're in the pandemic.

3:23.5

And the year before that I think is the year my best friend got me on a roller coaster and I like cry the entire way up and I just got thinking I'm too old for this and is my life insurance policy paid like that's all I could think of everyone the whole experience.

3:35.5

But you know, like if you're going to do something scary at amusement parks, sometimes there will be a chicken exit.
