I'm so excited you're here today. We're going to talk about money, money, money today. That was a really bad, like, attempted singing. This is why the worship team at church has never asked me, you know, to come on board. This is why we also, a lot of times sit in the front row of church. That way I don't sing into anybody's ears. It's in front of me. They don't have to hear

how bad I was singer I am. Did you also know that one time I was in sixth grade, I told you guys in the podcast last week that now that I'm 50, like I'm just going to talk about whatever I want. embrace yourself.

Now I'm kidding.

So literally in sixth grade, we had to take choir.

So you had to go in and do a little like singing test to decide if you're a soprano or an alto. And literally the, the teacher looked at me and he's like, yeah, Jen, I don't know. I'm not sure. And I'm like, what do you mean? You don't know. So I was so bad at singing that I'm literally not a soprano or an alto. Yeah, fun times. So, but I have other skills and one of those I'm going to talk about today. That was a weird lead-in, by the way, but that's okay. Okay, so here's what we're going to talk about today. We're going to talk about why do Christian women feel so weird and guilty about making money? Can we start a conversation

about this? And by the way, I am, you're going to be hearing more and more and more about this

topic from me because ladies, if we're going to have like weird, unbiblical theology thinking,

mindset around money.

And yet at the same time, be like, Jen, I can't figure out why my business isn't growing or I really need to make money. We're about to lose everything. I have to go back to my nine to five. Or I'm trying to get out of my nine to five because, you know, maybe they're making rules about certain things or mandating certain things. And you don't want to be a part of that, but you're like, I don't have any options. So you really need to make money at your business. But you have some weird thinking around it. It's not going to happen. It's like, it's talking out of both sides of your

mouth. Like if you want to have more freedom in your finances, but the truth is that you think that

people that have money are jerks.

And you were raised with parents who taught you that all people with money are bad,

that they're all, you know, will screw you over. And, you know, the, it's, I don't know,

I'm trying to think of, like, different examples without, like, offending people. Because the truth is,

a lot of us were taught different things about money from our parents, of course,

who were doing the very best they could with the knowledge they had been, right?

And if I was to take a guess, as a Betten girl, I would guess that some of you were raised in

churches that meant well, but also had some really weird

theology around money. And there was, you know, for a long time, like so many people right now are

so concerned about getting into the prosperity gospel. But the truth is, it's like, we don't want to
