Hey, you welcome back to the podcast. This is Monday Fire episode number 104. We're going to be talking about discouragement today, discouragement in particular in business.

I'm going to give what I think are going to be some helpful things for you to keep in mind if you are feeling discouraged right now.

Okay, so here's all this conversation came about. So if you were in one of my coaching groups, you know that every month in my inner circle, my monthly coaching group that focuses on social media, we have a call every month where we all get on the call.

You're able to raise your hand. I'm able to pull you up on the screen if you want. We're able to just put your questions, your comments and the chat either one.

So this week when we had our call, there was a precious woman who just said, I'm just feeling discouraged. She used to work. She was discouraged and defeated.

And she said business just feels hard. I'm feeling discouraged and defeated and and so one of the things that I try to pay really close attention to as a coach, because I hopefully it's something, you know, I think you should be doing it as a coach, but you also hopefully it'll make you a better coach is if you're kind of paying attention to trends, paying attention to themes, paying attention to people who are kind of saying the same thing.

Because then you know, okay, this would be a really good thing for me to address in my coaching, which I did that day or on a Facebook post, which I think I also did this week or on a podcast like this, okay.

So she was feeling really discouraged and I was watching the comments and there were several other entrepreneurs who were saying that they were feeling discouraged about certain things also.

And so it felt like a little bit of a theme. It felt like, you know, several people were all kind of feeling the same way.

And there was a woman that I talked to a little bit after that who said that she was feeling just really frustrated by the fact that she's on Etsy. She sells a lot on Etsy, but because of some problems with shipping recently.

How many of you know there's some shipping issues going on that she was getting some bad reviews and those were making her feel like, oh my gosh, like, you know, this, it just feels heavy, right, it feels heavy.

And then there was one other woman that we had that just that is coming to my mind as I'm talking here who is in my inner circle group and she was feeling super discouraged because she used to always love social media, her business is on social media, but social media is feeling so polarizing that she's feeling like she's having a hard time getting back on there and actually like running her business because that.

So she's feeling discouraged. So I thought, you know what, there's enough people talking about this feeling of heaviness and discouragement that I want to talk about it on a quick Monday fire because here's what I know to be true.

The Bible says that the God we serve his burden is light.

So if your business is feeling anything other than light, if it's now doesn't mean it's not going to be busy that doesn't mean it's sometimes not going to be stressful, but if you're business and what you're doing is feeling heavy.

There needs to be some prayer around that there needs to be some breaking off of that there needs to be like a repositioning where you're able to kind of come back to center.

And remember what your why is why you're doing your business what the God says about your business all of those things because the feeling of discouragement can sometimes like spiral into a dark place.

It ends up staying longer than you want it to and that ends up being heavier than you intended for it to be your want for it to be.
