From ABC News, I'm Stephanie Officer. The Pima County Sheriff has officially cleared the Guthrie family as suspects in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.

Chef Chris, Sheriff Chris Nannos, saying in a statement Monday, that includes, quote, all siblings and spouses as possible suspects in the case, adding they've been nothing but cooperative and gracious, saying they are victims.

That means the focus must be on someone else. The backpack scene on Nancy's doorbell video worn by a masked man could help.

ABC contributor and retired FBI agent Richard Frankel tells us the fact that it's only sold at Walmart helps in the case.

There is something that would lead, you know, the normal person to think that possibly that person who was purchasing items at Walmart is connected to this case.

And again, that's a lot of the leads that are probably coming in.

Opening statements began today in Georgia

where the father of a school shooting suspect is facing trial. Colin Gray is being charged with 29

criminal counts, including second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. Four people died when

police say Gray's son opened fire on Appalachie High School in 2024. Prosecutors say the father supplied the murder weapon,

even though there were signs his son would inflict harm with it.

This is the latest in a string of cases where parents have been facing legal challenges in connection with mass shootings.

It wasn't just that the child committed a heinous crime, or in this case, allegedly, because the shooter in this case has not been tried as yet, it's that the red flags were missed.

And prosecutors were saying you have to be aware of these red flags.

A reasonable person would have been aware of these red flags.

And this is creating a precedent going forward, not just for these parents, but potentially for others.
