We have that story, but first, here's our roundup of today's top stories. It's Monday, April 7th.

Starting with the big deal at Boeing today, Boeing has reached a settlement with two families of people who died in a 737 max crash in Ethiopia in 2019.

A settlement came last night for both families hours before jury selection, according to an attorney for one family.

Noel Gaska reports.

The two cases, Belanger v. Boeing and Lewis v. Boeing, were the first civil suits against

the aerospace company linked to the crash.

They were slated to begin in federal court in Chicago today.

In a statement, Tacoma-based attorney Mark Lindquist said the

terms of the settlement are confidential, but his client is, quote, satisfied with the resolution,

accountability, and closure. Lindquist represented the family of Darcy Belanger, who was flying to a

United Nations environmental meeting when he died.

According to Lindquist, of the 157 people who died in the crash, there are still 18 pending cases for other victims.

The next trial is slated for July.
