Today we explore how might health inspectors get the access they want to the immigration detention in Tacoma.

That's in a few minutes. But first, the news, it's Monday,

September 29th. Seattle leaders are on high alert today. They say they are prepared to go against

the White House if it sends the National Guard here. Mayor Bruce Harrell spoke this morning after

President Trump announced

this weekend, he's deploying federal troops to Portland. We do not need the federal government

bringing in armored vehicles, semi-automatic weapons, military personnel to make quote-unquote a safer.

There is not an insurrection here.

The president called Portland war ravaged and referenced protests at ice facilities there.

Harrell says he's been in contact with Portland leaders and offered them Seattle's support.

Washington Attorney General Nick Brown said he's been watching how the president has sent troops to other cities and he's prepared to sue.
