What does it mean that God will give us the desires of our heart?

I mean, can I just pray for whatever I want and God will give it?

Of course not.

But that is a promise. What does it mean?

Hey friends, I am doing a very quick little podcast today. I'm in my office here at Faith Baptist

Church. Just finished about an hour and a half ago, something like that, my morning message.

And I realized we're going Christmas caroling tonight. I don't have a podcast

ready for tomorrow. The studio is a mess. So I am shooting a quick podcast in my office. Sorry for the

disheveled looking shelf behind me. Sorry for the poor lighting, but not sorry that we're going to be in the Word of God.

And we're in Psalm 37 today.

So why don't you grab a copy of the Word of God?

And let's just jump right in.

Psalm 37 is a Psalm of David.

The Psalm itself, there's no particular occasion that we know of that David wrote this.

However, we do know that it was later in his life because he gives testimony in this Psalm that I was young, now I am old.

So whatever old is, I'm 58, so I don't think 58 is old. So David must have been 59 or older

because 58 and younger is still young. So I'm not sure how old he was, but he was old when he wrote
