I'm Albert Moeller and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview.

0:13.7

Today on the briefing we need to do something of a reset after the two national conventions are now

0:18.8

completed, the Democratic National Convention over last Thursday night in Chicago.

0:23.7

But there is so much to unpack on both sides of the partisan divide.

0:27.9

We need to think through some of these issues and try to prioritize what's really important.

1:17.1

Democratic side is an attitudinal or say just a brand refreshing rather than a change in terms of the ideological substance

1:26.1

and the policy proposals.

1:28.0

If anything, I think it's demonstratively true that the Democrats are lurching greatly

1:32.3

to the left. and over the next several

1:34.3

weeks we're going to have to unpack that issue by issue and we'll do so while documenting

1:38.9

what we are seeing happening on the Democratic side.
