At least 28 people have died due to extreme flooding in Kentucky, with the state expecting

more rain to come today in some of the already hardest hit areas.

Governor Andy Beshear said that the flooding wiped out areas that didn't have much to

begin with, and that they will quote, be finding bodies for weeks.

Way to inspire hope, Andy.

The effortary build could take years, as the state's estimated losses are potentially

in the hundreds of millions of dollars, with about 50 bridges washed away in one single

counting.

In the Pacific Northwest, at least 7 people have died due to a severe heat wave that hit

the region last week.

Aside from both record-breaking temperatures and record-breaking streaks of high temperatures,

California is experiencing its biggest fire so far this year.

The McKinney Fire has covered more than 50,000 acres, and clearly went hard this weekend,
